Eddie only got the titleshot in the first place because Khabib had been out with an injury. Eddie was on a 2 fight win streak when he got his shot at RDA...meanwhile Khabib is undefeated and Tony was on an 8 Fight streak.

Frankly, neither Eddie nor Conor should have gotten LW title fights in the first place. They were merely the befeficiaries of circumstance and preferential treatment, respectively.

Eddie "Chinny" Alvarez got extremely lucky when he was gifted a title shot after being 2-1 with 2 split decisions against guys with negative records. It was one of the most undeserving title shots in modern history, in comparison Dan Henderson was 2-1 with 2 KOs before his fight with Bisping.
On the other hand, Conor was 1-2 at LW( lost to Nate and Duffy). It is very safe to conclude that Khabib vs Tony is the real, deserving fight for the LW belt, in fact this is the consensus not only in this forum but among fighters
