Ferguson won't take a dive like Cerrone and Alvarez.

I'm a massive Tony fan, and not at all a fan of McGregor, but if there's one nightmare match up for Tony, it's Conor. Your thread title is correct, Tony eats way too many shots on the feet, and a few from McGregor would put him out. Going to be really annoying around here when all the fan boys proclaim him as the GOAT when he knocks out Tony :(

Tonys fights are fun but I don't think he is on the same level as Conor or Khabib. Cowboy (the dehydrated 55 version) won the first round against Tony, imagine how much damage Conor is going to inflict on a Tony whose first round is below cowboys level. It doesn't matter a damn if Tony has good cardio he isn't surviving long enough to get it to deep waters.

What does Mcgregors defense or lack of defense have to do with Tony's?

I agree, I could actually see him losing to Conor in an embarrassing fashion, I rate Tony very highly but styles make fights and I think he'd take far to much damage early against Conor.

Tony got embarrased against journeyman Michael Jones, full mount by Kevin Lee and dropped like a bag of chips against Pettis. His chin is widely known to have been cracked, he has a mexican heart that's what has gotten him where he is. Khabib comes from the heights of Dagestani mountains with a crippling grappling game that no body can train for. Kabib mixes his striking game with his grappling in a way nobody has been able to or close to stop. His endurance and rather large head that suffocates you as he grapples you, is a nightmare for anybody, ask Luke Rockhold.

Ferguson would have to come through a very tough round or two, early standing up its advantage McGregor.

It'll be an interesting one, that's for sure.

Like most predictions of a showdown for McGregor, if he doesn't finish you early the opponents chances improve. Especially if its against a cardio machine like Ferg.

That being said, I've got McGregor by tko round 2.

Id love to see the fight, more than any other! Conor has a round to knock tony out. He’s fcked otherwise! He sets a higher pace than Diaz and pressures far more. he won’t let Conor off the hook like Diaz did in the 2nd fight

2 years ago I’d have said tony without a doubt, but the older he gets the bigger possibility of that chin finally cracking. I’d still favour tony but not by much.
