And thus he will have fought all that mattered. He will have cleaned the division.
He fights and beats Habib now, then he defends against Gadje and then {<Mcgoat} gets another gift title shot. Tony easily beats the whiskey man in the first round.

Once he beats these 3, there will be no one left in the horizon. Makachev will probably still be green and out of the top 10 and I expect Hooker to be beaten once more and fall down the ranks. Lee will most likely be the No1 contender by then, but he already lost to Tony.

Ferguson should retire after these 3 fights. He'll be 37 and start to slow down.

Tony is a much more winnable matchup for Conor than Khabib is. Would be amazing to see

Tony needs to fight Gaethje as a tuneup fight while Conor 2.0 takes out Khabib in the most anticipated rematch in the history

...he needs to fight them all WITHOUT having a mental breakdown, tripping over cables, injuring himself, being arrested or retiring. It’s a tall order.

He would probably back out of these fights.

He is also too chinny to fight Conor or Gaethje.

On the very limited chance he accomplishes all of that then yes he should retire on top. 15 fight win streak, tying the defense record, in the process beating what would be the 2nd greatest lw of all time in khabib behind him. Honestly it's such a slim chance but yeah what else besides cash would drive him?

I hate Conor's fans and his whole persona pisses me off but I don't want him to die.

That said, he wouldn't clean out the division. There's always some new prospect who is the real deal and better than anyone the champ's ever faced and when a champ beats a contender that contender doesn't look that good anymore.

Then he also needs to fight Michael Johnson for an easy payday to avenge his only loss in the UFC. Then rematch all three Khabib, Gaethje and Conor. So just 7 more fights until he retires.

In the amount of time it would take Tony to have these fights several new contenders would appear.

Wasn’t Conor ranked #4 despite not winning in 3 years? Doesn’t seem underrated looking at that. Quite the opposite, no?
