is his weakness.
If young Kevin suffering from staph can dominate him that easily early in the fight before he gassed out, then boy he’s in for a violent beating.

I bet this sounded a lot more clever in your head

Ferguson is legit tough. Dude can take a beating and give one in return... So Pumped for the Khabib fight. Will he piece him up on the feet... or will we see some A-Level ground and pound.

There were rumours about Kevin keep lying about his staph infection

He's been strong enough to go on a 10 fight win streak.

Many times heart & fighting spirit can overcome physical strength, and even a better skill-set.

Darren Elkins is a great example. On paper, he's almost always out-matched, skill-wise. But he just never gives up. He beats fighters thru sheer will and great cardio.

El Cucuy is bred from the same iron will. He never stops coming at you.

His biggest weakness is that his arms are at his midsection and leaves the chin out. His slow starts rev the engines as he gets tagged but he gets stronger throughout the rounds. Against Conor, thats a huge problem as Conor starts so fast.
However, against grapplers like Khabib, having the hands by his midsection allows him to easily get snap-downs and d'arces. It also allows him to potentially get underhooks to stop TDs but Tony is one of the few fighters Ive seen that goes for the neck from takedown attempts immediately. Tony/Khabib is so damn intriguing man.

Kevin is just as much in his physical prime (speed, strength) as Tony, possibly more since Tony is getting closet to mid-30s.
And Tony's biggest weakness is striking defense. His offense isn't all that either.

And judging a fight based on a couple seconds of domination is just stupid. Stop.

Exactly what i've been saying. It'll be a hard fight, but Tony has the edge with cardio and toughness. Tony will probably have a tough couple of rounds, but his BJJ can threaten Khabib, and he's very active off his back with strikes as well. Khabib will slow down, and Tony will capitalize. I give it 3 to 2 rounds in favor of Tony, but it could go the other way.

The only way Tony gets stopped is by cut.

Nothing we've seen suggests Khabib will slow down as he gets to the 4th and 5th rounds. Tony has probably some of the best cardio, if not the best cardio, in the UFC but Khabib was looking damn fresh in the third after maulings against MJ and Barboza. Remember this is post his injuries aswell.

Problem with that analogy, is Khabib never stops either.. He walks threw strikes like they are nothing..
He took everything Barboza threw at him, and kept coming forward..

Kevin Lee is a different kind of grappler and striker than Khabib. He may do better or he may do worse, who knows. Your argument is really shallow either way. But if he does do better, you can count on users here to start saying that Kevin Lee is a better grappler than the Eagle.

And if Tony can run through Tibau, and Tibau can arguably beat Khabib......does that mean Tony beats Khabib? I can’t believe I’m still seeing MMA Math threads. Is there a curfew on this thing?

What do you mean?

Young Kevin gassed out precisely because he did sort of well in the beginning of the fight - he didn't pace himself like Tony did and burnt out as a result.

Tony really doesn’t have exceptionally impressive standup like that. Nothing far beyond what RDA, MJ, or Barboza could bring. Only hope he has is an off-the-back submission.

Overall, a well rounded fighter. Weaknesses:

Gets hit a lot
Slow starter
Physical strength

But he is super grisly and tough. Incredible cardio, and great at scrambles.

So excited for this one.

The big ? is what will happen when he is on his back. Aside from an exhausted Lee, he has never subbed anyone from his back. His other subs came from on top of from people rushing into his amazing brabo's.
