I can't help but think that the Ortega loss drastically changed the publics perception of how good Edgar is. Almost nobody would pick Max to finish Edgar before, but now that Edgar got finished once after like a decade of facing nothing but elite guys, he's all the sudden going to get finished in every fight.

Edgar came back a month later and took shots from cub just fine, and cub has more power than max.

Maybe it was the Ortega loss in a standup battle, inmediately followed by Ortega getting absolutely dominated....in a standup battle.......by the guy Frankie is fighting

Frankie got caught. It's not like ortega was styling all over him. Hell Cub swanson was outboxing ortega all fight and then Frankie outstruck him. MMA math doesn't work. You know this. And it's not like Max has an elite guard game preventing Frankie from shooting.
