Even if you think Gane is the best choice, there no way he's "the most dangerous." If Tom has reasonable cardio then Gane would have n realistic path to victory, and if Gane has any lingering effects from his injury he'll probably just embarrass himself if he's the designated victim.

Agreed on the Gane thing. Almeida the toughest fight available by far.

Tom knows he is way above the competition and he sees easy paychecks in the future. Line them up and let Tom beat the shit out of everybody a couple of times.

It is UFC problem to find him new contenders. They will have to go out and sign talent from other orgs like they did with Asakura when he fought Pantoja.

That might actually boost his chances. If the division is shallow then each fight should be easy, therefore allowing for more fights since there won't be much time needed for recovery.

But as in contenders that would even make sense to be fighting for the belt. Right now the only ones I see that make sense is Gane, Almeida, & maybe Volkov. Teixeira if he beats Lewis. That's about all the contenders at HW in the foreseeable future.

Thats because the headline says he wants 4 fights in the next 12 months so unless he has something signed right now then it makes no sense whats hes saying and even Tom knows that which is why when the interviewer pressed more about it and Tom thought about it more he revises that statement to 4 fights by the end of 2026 or 3 fights in the next 12 months which is hard goal still but that is at least doable.

Who is he fighting? When is the fight taking place? How many times over the years have we seen the headline " So and so has their next fight booked" yet there is no fight booked or the fight never happens. How many times has Dana or the UFC workers stated a fight has been booked only for one or both fighters to come out and say they have not signed on to the fight?

He can def get 3 a year esp if he's beating guys in under two minutes. Yes he'll be doubling up on the div before long but so what. He's not in an era thats gonna make him stand out.

Guys like Stipe, Cain, JDS< Werdum, Reem, Carwin etc wont be walking through the door so you fight often and defend the title as much as possible. Spend the next 3-5 years as champ and get 10 title defenses and that will be his legacy and ticket into the HOF.

At this point Alex is his only big fight option if he decides to move up.
