Who wins?

Tom is a monster.

But, NGannou is a certifiable freak of nature.

Francis just needs to land ONCE and it's lights out. ONCE. I've seen nothing to indicate that Francis has lost any of his power of speed.

Tom might be able to wrestle his way to a decision, but that's a LONG 25 minutes to avoid NGannou's nuclear hands.

Francis is an extremely fresh 40 years old in terms of MMA damage over the course of his career. Please. You are just speculating on something that we haven't been shown any evidence of yet in this case.

Now, you act like I didn't already say "assuming Francis hasn't fallen off a cliff in the last year" in my OP. That's possible... I just don't think it's likely.

So the thing is, people see a guy who hasn't taken huge damage over a long career in the cage but don't see the damage taken in training. And I'm not sure what you mean by "haven't seen any evidence"? Joshua literally put him to sleep the fight before last. He absorbed no damage vs the big, slow dude he beat in PFL.

If you wanna think he has some granite chin after seeing him absolutely flatlined not long ago and with his age approaching 40...okay? That's absurd, but certainly your right to believe. Most likely, he still has a decent chin by HW standards but age and cumulative damage are starting to catch up so his chin probably isn't elite anymore. Decent to good? Sure.

You don't know how many shots Francis eats in training or how much he spars. You are just assuming.

What I meant is that we haven't seen any evidence of his chin being substationally weaker. Getting KOed once in your professional career doesn't mean your chin is cracked or even substationally degraded. Getting KOed will make it worse, but overall, his chin will still be very solid IMO.

Nobody knows EXACTLY how much damage someone has taken in training. But training itself inherently means taking damage. The longer you are an active fighter, the more the damage adds up. It's why some guys have stopped doing live sparring in camp altogether. I'm not saying anything controversial here. Hell, what I'm saying isn’t even debatable.

I never said Ngannou's chin was "cracked" I said that assuming he is as durable now as he was 7-8 years ago is foolish and flies in the face of everything we know about fighters ability to take damage. You can choose not to believe it, that's fine. But that doesn't make it any less true.

Great fight.
I want to see Jon, Tom, and Frank in the UFC. It would be like the glory days of boxing and Ali, Foreman, and Frazier.

Close fight, Tom is faster and better. I think Frank should be an underdog but he gets lucky and gets the KO.

But these 3 could lead to surprising results. Must see fights either way.
