This man has no entry or mention on Wikipedia other than his defeat at the hands of Ad Santel...after reading about his many accomplishments, it is safe to say that he deserves far better than that. I'm going to start up a Wikipedia entry on him, but first, I thought we could call together those who were knowledgeable on this remarkable figure--I just learned that that there was more to him than a few beatings at Santel's hands about 20 minutes ago--to gather together information and make this an entry worthy of the man.

I don't know much of the man, but I can give you his record against Catch Wrestlers according to the book Catch Wrestling by Mark S. Hewitt:

9/2/1909, Seattle
Beat Eddie Robinson

11/12/1909, Seattle
Beat George Braun

3/16/1910, Seattle
Beat Julius Johnson

5/18/1911, Seattle
Beat Young Joe Acton

6/9/1911, Seattle
Beat Farmer Watson

2/5/1916, San Francisco
Lost to Ad Santel

6/10/1916, San Francisco
Beat Ad Santel

4/3/1919, Los Angeles
Beat Ted Thye

Those are the ones listed. Would be intresting to check the local archives of these cities to find newspaper accounts of these matches.

wiki is a good place for GENERAL knowlage. It's not a collection of facts just organized second hand information that doesn't have to stand up to scrutiny.

The main problem with the wikipedia piece on Santel is that it doesn't mention that Ito won the rematch ...

That's because it was written by a very Catch bias person. It's pretty rediculous realy. You hear Catch guys always praising Santel and worshipping him. How he destroyed all these Judo champions, but you will never hear of his losses or draws to them. lol Even Josh Barnett was saying this junk before his fight with Yoshida. Thing is, most Catch nuthuggers actualy believe it. It's a classic case of spreading false info to the point that people start believing it.
