This looks like China. Is anyone really surprised? Animals rights don't exist there. The country has gone from poverty to wealthy (at least 1st and 2nd tier cities) in an incredibly short amount of time. Money is new to them and therefore a lot of people are only concerned about materialism. Animals are just objects to them.
We in the USA aren't much better though and in some ways we are worse as we have no excuse to continue to act like that towards our furry friends. Most Americans condemn what Asian nations do but yet we continue to eat meat in such excess that factory farms are a necessity in order to meet that demand. Just do some research into the cruelty of dairy farms, factory farms, etc.
