Came into the UFC looking like a monster, 5-0 TKOing all of his opponents, all but one in the first round, then KOed Tim Hague in 7 seconds, in his UFC debut. One of the fastest KO's in UFC history, not to mention in a debut. The dude was powerful as all hell, athletic and fast, like a suped- up Kevin Randleman.
Everyone expected big things from this guy.
Then things started taking a turn....
Whooped Russow unholy for 3 rounds until he got caught and KOed by an unimpressive opponent
Left the UFC to fight Ubereem and got KOed in 19 seconds. Derailed by injuries.
Came back after a couple years to string together a nice run against journeyman and then got smashed by Frank Mir.
Hasn't been heard from since, fighting injury after injury.
For a dude as fast, powerful and athletic as Duffee, I think we all thought he would amount to something more. Maybe not champ, but certainly a top 5 guy.

I can't think of another fighter who's been a bigger bust. A lot of dudes failed in the UFC but had great careers in Pride, or other organizations. Other's like Machida, didn't live up to the hype but still resonated. Duffee was just one disappointment after another...

He also is responsible for the sloppiest punch thrown I've ever seen in any type of fight.

I expected Mike Russo to whip his ass, potato body and all. Count me out of his never-was hype train.

It's funny because his technique looked great against Russow, until he got caught. Every fight after, he seemed to just be a crazed animal fighting on instinct rather than strategy or skill

He was a huge bust, no doubt about it. Uriah Hall, Soccerjew, Houston Alexander... all huge UFC busts.

Referring to him as some improved Randleman (RIP) is offensive

Randleman had serious wrestling background and is a former UFC HW champion and competed against the top for a long time in the sport.

I loved when he walked to the cage shirtless and Rogan basically outted him as a roid head

He even lost on the Superman vs Batman movie... can't get a break

There are very times that the hype doesn't get dusted in this sport. Jones and Khabib are probably the only two out there who have held an aura of invincibility into the present. Both have raised concerns though in their ability to be taken too seriously unfortunately with Khabib injured and struggling with weight, and Jones diving into dumpster fires to rage out with coke and dick pills.

He went downhill it seems after Overeem broke him.. God that knee to the gut looks so hard!

It’s silly to put so much on duffee. He was just a prospect.

Randleman could've been a beast if he didn't accept money to lose some fights

Looking at you Saku

Karo Parisyan was a guy I was convinced would be a champion and huge star in the UFC. His story is kind of tragic..

Someone post the pic of him signing his contract while on Sherdog and eating a burrito

LMAO

Holy Fuck thanks for the laugh this morning TS.
