This is a call for help from anyone using Boon bag gloves.

I first tried on Boon bag gloves while training in Thailand and they were awesome! Unfortunately I forgot to peek a look at the size of those bag gloves that I used.

I

I would not get gloves with the exposed thumb (unless they are mma gloves), it makes it hard to make a first and your thumb is acting to be ripped off.

I would get "super" bag gloves (super = attached padded thumb) or the boon training gloves

Large, and it will still fit with wraps.

Thanks!

I was actually planning on getting both the Boon bag gloves and a pair of training gloves (probably Boon too). The training gloves will be for when I intend to pound all out on the bags. The bag gloves when I wanna practise my form and work the pads. On the contrary I actually find it easier to make a fist with a thumbless glove than a thumbed one. When wearing a full glove, the thumb actually points forward rather than grab the other fingers.

But thanks for the input. I get where you're coming from when you say the thumbless glove makes me more susceptible to thumb injuries. Have to be careful on that.

Thanks!

If your thumb is sitting on the 1" padding and not directly touching your fingers, you are not really making a true fist like MMA gloves do. Just make sure to wrap&tape your thumb well...
