-Though they know that the spinning elbow is part of Brian's arsenal, and he see him use it against Max, etc. He never expected the actual impact of it as they didn't go 100% on training as it may result to injury. He has trained some counters to it but his lack of preparedness is his mistake as it is an attack you really can't see coming.

-People want him to find a new team, and though he is friends with Eddie Cha for years, their relationship is pure business and Eddie Cha won't mind if KZ leaves for a new team as Eddie Cha actually encourages him to do what he thinks is the best move for him, even if it means leaving him.

-KZ said he knows he disappointed a lot of fans but the blame should be solely on him. It has nothing to do with his team as they did their job and prepared him well.

-His biggest mistake is his inability to avoid Brian's spinning elbow and he said he is completely responsible for his loss, not his team.

-He is asking for 3 round fights hopefully for his next bouts as his health is his priority now that he's experienced some tough losses and absorbed some vicious damage and it's taken toll on his body. Dana and the UFC doesn't want it for now though as they said they need more main events with him.

-He doesn't have any fight lined up as the UFC and Dana want him to rest up first, and said that he deserve a break, so he can rest as much as he can.

-He feels ashamed to talk about the championship right now. He knows he needs 2 to 3 wins to get back to the title talk and promised he'll work his way up. He says there's a lot of competition left at FW and he won't be retiring as he just got back from a successful major surgery.

-He know he has lots of fans that expected him to win and he apologize to them for not being able to deliver. In sports, he knows the feeling of being disappointed when he roots to his favorite fighter, team, etc. and they didn't deliver.

-He prefers not commenting on his health as if he say he's not 100%, it will sound as an excuse. He says Brian is an exceptional fighter and his loss isn't about his team and preparation, it was lack of skill on his part, and he will make up for that.

-He is glad that Brian came up to him first and bury the hatchet, he'd do the same if he won and he is thankful to him.

Thanks for translating TS.

He'll be back but he has these bad fundementals when he goes for offense. He was very wide with his punches against Ortega and ate punches and kicks before the spinning elbow. This loss and the Yair loss really came from him running towards his opponents and being cracked with counters. Sadly I dont think he'll ever be champ. He isn't getting younger, already had a ton of surgeries and received too much damage by now. He will always be a top 5 featherweight but he'd lose to guys like Volk, Max and Zabit (certainly in a three rounder).

The video has english subtitles. And yeah, we'll see down the road.

Yeah, bad situational awareness when closing the distance or infighting.

He’s more effective at range.

This right here is what's fucking sad because any time a fighter discloses injuries or that they're not healthy, fans cry that it's an excuse.

So now you have fighters that just don't talk about it.

Also it's bullshit that the UFC won't let him do more three round fights if that's what he wants when Zabit hasn't fought in a 5 rounder yet. I really don't know what they're doing with his career.

If they wanted him on as a main eventer constantly, should have given him a title shot. Otherwise put him on the main card with someone else headlining, like a big title fight or something.

Ortega's long layoff might have helped him (Ortega). The Ortega that Zombie gameplanned for was not the same Ortega that showed up on fight night. Dude improved a whole lot in his standup.

I was saying that before the fight that we would see a different, improved Brian Ortega than we expected. He was simply better prepared and difficult to prepare against.

Dana to TKZ: JUST BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!

Thanks for the vid, been waiting to see him talk about it and will watch later. People should check out his youtube channel if they like MMA stuff on youtube, many (all?) have built in translations and his videos are pretty fun to watch.

I would really like one last run for the KZ, but it seems like time is running out, he looks so old in that video :(

I don't think he gave Ortega enough credit honestly.

That loss was 100% Ortega and had little to do with whatever adjustments people want to come up for the deficiencies in this fight.

Ortega went warp speed on evolving. Im still incredulous how much he changed or how well he was able to take advantage of KZ's weak points.

It exposed KZ, imo, as being unable to ever get that belt because he's so lacking in certain departments....mainly movement and predictability. If KZ was to prepare for that Ortega he just saw, I think he'd lose 10/10 times

This was therapeutic after just reading about Costa’s newest excuse for losing to Izzy. Let me bathe in this feeling of hearing a fighter man up and own his loss. <{smellit?}>
