He was using great foot movement and upper body movement. You can't teach that to anyone. You have to be special athlete to do that.

It's incredible how McGregor really changed the game and showed how to beat a guy like Barao!

He was fighting more like Dominick Cruz.

Exactly what we were all saying here at the house last night! He looked just like Conor moving around in there, getting creative and a little wild, but precise as hell. Glad others saw that too! And ANYONE who thinks otherwise... please go watch a damn Conor fight before making a judgement.

You guys are all on McGregor's dick. Get over it, he's not proven, he suuuuuucks! Anyone on the top 10 would whoop his Irish ass.

Actually, that's exactly what you can teach someone. Proof being Bang Ludwig taught TJ that. You obviously have to be a special athlete to implement it that well.

Remember yesterday, where everyone and their mother wasn't giving TJ a shot in hell of beating Barao, let alone dominating him in the standup and finishing him?
You don't gauge a fighter only by whether he is "proven" or not, but by the skills you see him display against the competition he has fought.

Not at all. He's a great fighter and you'll swallow those words.

Wrong.

And no, his movement isn't anything like McGregor's. TJ uses his footwork to gain new angles and directions to escape offensively whereas Mcgregor will only do so when his opponent refuses to oblige his counters. McGregor prefers to use movement to set-up counterpunches from angles off his opponent's center line, which TJ has never done.

Jesus fucking christ you people need to stop latching onto the most apparent, readily understood visual relations between two styles of fighter, and claiming that they are similar based solely on how it LOOKS as opposed to what they are actually DOING, which in these cases are almost completely different (offensive striking vs. counterstriking).

Sherdog logic: Cormier is unproven and over hyped meanwhile Conor McGregor is the best.

McGregor doesn't waste movement like that. That was more like Cruz' hummingbird on crack style.

The GOAT wouldn't have let Barao escape the first
