TJ Waldburger out due to weight cutting issue

These guys cut too much weight. Either that or they're not doing it right but who am I to say this stuff about professional fighters.

Getting real sick of this stuff. You have a long time to get to weight, either manage it or stop being a pussy and fight at your natural weight.

The article linked below mentions Waldburger.

It also says: "According to the CSAC, a recent study found that 39 percent of MMA fighters were entering the cage in a dehydrated state," and describes the dangers of this.

Also notice the "don'ts" from the Commission, and how mainstream they are:

Don’t use extreme methods for making weight such as excessive heat methods (rubberized suits, steam rooms, saunas), excessive intense bouts of exercise, vomiting, laxatives and diuretics.

Don’t use dehydration as a mainstay of making weight. In addition to the above, it puts you at risk of improper rehydration techniques when, in reality, proper re-hydration takes several hours to days.

Could've been a million things and he's never come in heavy before.

Especially sick of the ones that struggle over and over to make weight. After each time they talk about how next time they will do a much better job of smartly getting on weight. Then they have the exact same issue before their next fight.

After that brutal fight with Pyle, I can't say I'm upset by this. He has taken some violent beatings.

Sad thing is, he said it was one of the easiest cuts of his career.

Not sure why everybody is getting on his case for weightcutting. The guy has never missed weight so it's not like he has a history of brutal weight cuts. That being said, he's been knocked out 7 (!!) times in his 10 year career and the kid is only 26 years old. I think losing to Amagov and Pyle are nothing to laugh at and TJ would have subbed Oliveira, but someone should step in and discuss his fighting future with him
