*he can fight in many way like can go offensive or defensive.
*great counter striker/defensive fight.
*great offensive striker
*amazing footwork.
*got a lot of variety on feet.
No striker is as well rounded as TJ.most mma got pure offensive fighter like barboza and pure defensive fighter like machida. Tj is the best example of how much mma has evolved.and probably the best striker we’ve ever seen. only wonderboy and Cody can rival him If we talking about well roundness on feet.

He is great, but part of what makes him great is that cardio. Obviously no HW is going to be able to move like he moves, but he's also not going to be able to beat a top HW. Pound for pound, he is as legit as they come.

Cruz is a very overrated striker. He has good footwork and movement, but his punching technique is horrible, probably because he only throws winging arm punches with intention to touch his opponent to score points, not to actually inflict damage. Because of this, he's pillowfisted even by bantamweight standards.

I disagree that Cruz is much better. They landed an equal amount of shots over five rounds. Frankly, I thought Dillashaw landed the better shots. Without the four takedowns, which obviously aren't striking, Cruz narrowly lost that fight.

His boxing is EXCELLENT for an mma fighter. In the Cody fight you could tell he was boxing with Lomanchenko. It wasn't on the level of Loma (nobody is), but the step to Cody's left, baiting him into trading right hands, gold.

That's why Cruz was totally outboxed by Cody is it? I think Dom is the much more specialised fighter being great at defending whilst backing up.

As far as the OP goes yep Dillashaw is one of the best we've ever seen in MMA, if he has a weakness its perhaps that he sometimes gets carried away in the cage, chasing Cruz too much or getting over aggressive late in the 1st vs Cody.

Yep. I'm aware that Cruz narrowly won their fight. He also had four takedowns that I think swayed two judges in his favor. Which is to say, it was his grappling that gave him the win, not his striking. Regardless, it is absurd to say that Cruz was "much better at everything regarding striking" than TJ was when they went head to head.
