"I was the first light heavyweight champion, they wanted to create more weight classes so they asked me what would be a perfect weight class...I said I walk around at 215-220, so 205 would be perfect and so they made it".

"Maybe one day you'll reach the level of understanding required to understand Tito's wisdom. Most humans only use 20% of their brains, Tito uses 125% of his brain, so it's difficult to comprehend. Keep at it and you'll get there."

Lol I want to know more about this alternate reality he's created for himself where he invented everything.

I walk around at 210 lbs six days a week. Uhhh five days a week, I’ll weigh 215 lbs three days a week, and one of those days, I’ll weigh 217 lbs two days of the week, so…six days of the week I’ll be walking around at 216 lbs.

I hate Tito, but this story is probably true. It has often been said in the past, UFC was hungry for a star. They thought Tito had the "look", attitude, charisma, etc, & he was skilled enough at the time to be the champ &/or flag bearer. They catered to him because he thought 200 lbs was hard to make (the last 5 lbs are much harder than the first 10-15 lbs to cut, etc). Dana used to be his manager, & he had a really good relationship with Tito back then

This really turns the tables on the GOAT LHW discussion

#1 Tito Ortiz - inventer and founder of the 205Ibs division
#2 Jon Jones - longest win streak, but automatically beta'd to second spot as had to cut weight to fit Tito's body type throughout his career.
#3 onwards - everybody else: had to fit their weight to Tito's body type

The title existed before Dana was involved and Frank Shamrock was champion before Tito.

Let's face it he couldn't make 200 because his head is too big

Frank was champ at 199 Ibs though which was middleweight at the time.

This.

The UFC MW tournament winners were kevin jackson, dan henderson. And even before that, there were only 2 weight classes, above 200 was heavyweight, and below 200 was lightweight.
Bingo. Tito is a teller of truths, cutter of onions, and invented the 205 weight class with his big balls and massive heads.
