The main reason Frank would come back is the biggest fight that could be made which would also make him an overnight superstar again by KOing duck Jones. Francis can save the HW division for the casual fans more than Aspinall. Aspinall possibly beating Jones ruins all of that. What if…. Hmmmmm…..

Jon would jump on the back of the fastest motorcycle in town if a Ngannou fight is offered...
Think about what you’re saying. The second that fight is offered publicly with Frank potentially coming back all eyes in the mma world are on Jones again. He lives for that shit. He will irrefutably milk the moment because it’s kinda his thing

The only way this will happen is if Francis signs another UFC contract. So basically zero.

Franci$ chose to leave instead of fighting Jon once before, what's different now?
What has changed? Francis' bank balance for one.

You aren't asserting that Frank ran away from Jon as opposed to running towards the $50M or so that he has banked rather than the pennies on the dollar the UFC would have paid him are you?

Enough of that nonsense

Edit: who exactly are you supporting? Jones, Dana, the UFC as an organisation? Or a combination of these?

I'd forgive you if you were a Jones nut-hugger after all, he's the goat* (*if we tolerate his intolerable indiscretions) but anything else is just delusion or trolling

Edit to my edit: actually no, it's time for Jones to be wastelanded due to the mess he's created in the hw division. Everyone in Sherdog (except you) agrees that he ducked Francis and Tom, both of whom are good guys trying to get ahead and forge a legacy

Jones contribution was to prevent that legacy from being forged, not by fighting them (which one would expect of a professional fighter) but by not fighting them.

How exactly has anyone benefited from this?

100%

What happened to supporting the underdog? It used to be a strong part of our culture

I guess it's now fashionable to support mega corporations

Francis is irrelevant outside of Sherdog, who cares what he’s “considering”? The question is whether the UFC is considering him and if PFL is a sinking ship or willing to let him go.

Bro doesn’t even want to fight not to mention all the PR baggage he comes with. At this point the UFC would only sign him for peanuts if the circumstances were right, he has ZERO leverage.

PFL can't even afford to pay him to fight without some kind of copromotion.

who is the underdog? only Tom Aspinall. Ngannou made millions in boxing. you're acting like he's a victim here when he basically bankrupted PFL and told Dana to go fuck himself.

so Ngannou who has made 10s of millions of dollars, is now going to go back to the UFC to fight for "pennies on the dollar?" that doesn't even make sense.

Mate my comments were a response to another post claiming Francis ran from Jon.

He was the underdog at the time. Jones and the UFC were not.

Francis' financial legacy is now set which affords him the freedom to do whatever he wants with his career without the financial pressure... basically the opposite of where he was at when contracted to the UFC

There'll be a host of reasons when an organisation goes bankrupt, let's not catastrophise by blaming Francis for making what was clearly the right decision at the time. Wouldn't you have done the same thing as him...?

Francis left because of his « morals » and « values » and not for money according to him. It would be the biggest bit** move coming back now and confirm he’s just a greedy diva.

It’s either come back and look like a greedy diva to people like yourself or get old and broke fighting people no casual fan knows. I think Frank is far more about business than worried about nasty names

Not sure there's much to bargain about here. PFL has Francis under contract for 1 more fight, and they're not giving him away for free.

That means if Francis were to come to the UFC, PFL would be getting a cut of his fight. And I can tell you that cut won't come from the UFC because there will be no co-promotion. PFL's money would come from Francis' earnings. And with what the PFL would be expecting, Francis would basically have to fight Jon Jones for free. Not happening.
