Gonna take some heat for having feelings in this thread, but I just wanted to address the side of the emotional spectrum people seem to shy away from. Charles winning reminded me that as a fan, this is a crazy sport to watch. These guys are putting their brains and bodies on the line, literally fighting for a better life. In the case of Charles Oliveira, you have a guy who has basically grown up in the UFC, who has come from nothing in the favelas (similar to Aldo), to Worldwide-notoriety as UFC-champ. I felt like people were writing off Charles all fight-week, basically going with Chandler’s narrative that Charles is a quitter and will definitely fold to his pressure. Anyway I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen Charles fight, not to mention the ups and downs he’s had in his career, and I just felt his emotion when he won, I wasn’t sobbing or anything but I can say I was emotional and got teary-eyed for sure. It was like a Rocky movie-moment for me. The other time I remember like this was when Holly head-kicked Rhonda. There have been some really crazy moments in the UFC, and fighters get emotional in the cage all the time.
My question is, are there fights you remember that as a fan made you emotional?

Watching Anderson lose the second time against Chris Weidman, going down injured made me sad. My father and I started watching MMA together and watching Silva got me into the sport.

    Cyborg vs Nunes.

I was extremely mad at how the UFC let Nunes absolutely obliterate Cyborg while pulling Ronda out of the fire after it was clear she was in over her head.

Ronda didn't hit the ground. Ronda wasn't unintelligently defending herself. She was just going to get beat up. Cyborg got knocked out 3 times in 1 minute.

I’m a man’s man. I have never inserted a tampon into an orifice of my body. So, no.. I have never gotten emotional watching a fight.

I can't say that I ever really have. I'll tear up over movies here and there, but I like MMA to watch people fight and to see who the best is. I don't really care too much about who wins or loses.

Khabib vs Gaetje post fight.... made me emotional. I admit it. Does the after-fight count?

I remember when Buffer annouced a unanimous and then go back on his word and annouced the Majority Draw, all while the crowd was booing T-Wood. You can see the distress in Tyron eyes, i felt so bad for him, i'm not joking

Any time Machida was put completely out gave me a sinking feeling. Such a good guy and represents real traditional martial arts and life-long passion

If you are a man's man, that means you are owned/possessed by another man. Good job, wannabe Keyboard Warrior King Alpha. We will assume you are a "bottom" and not a"top". You haven't inserted a tampon into your body, but sounds like some other things have been inserted...

Watching legends who were once at the top, or near the top, decline so much that they just keep taking beatings because they can't give up the sport.
