As Ferguson was saying on the MMA hour he wants Nate, is this the best move for the UFC right now? When Conor is done with his layoff, he can come back and fight Nate or Ferguson. If Nate wins, that 3rd fight is huge at 155. We will see them both peaked. If Ferguson wins, he will have built somewhat of a bigger name off of Nate.

This is the move to make. Move on from Khabib he is going to be out for a while.

Shit, why not?
Nothing would surprise me anymore.

If Conor is going to be out for a while this might be the fight to make. Personally I think Ferguson has earned his shot and should be able to wait if he chooses. But if they fight then winner should get a crack at Conor, and then have Khabib face the winner of Poirer/Alvarez (If he is healthy and can make the weight).

yeah, i actually want to see if Nate is a needle mover without Mcgregor

Wont happen. Nate said he's only fighting conor and makes ridiculous demands like he need 20 million to answer the phone. This is the problem with paying guys too much lol. They can sit out forever.

Might as well. I don't think Nate deserves to be in title contention but at least it's a fight. Khabib doesn't deserve a title fight either after this recent bs, and there's no point pretending connor is coming back to lw to defend.

Or Tony just fights Conor next for the belt.

Nurmagomedov vs Barboza for the #1 contendership.

Why not he beat the hell out #6 MJ and beat the champ, then lost close decision. Like Tony said in that interview #8 rank is BS. Should be into top 3.

Whats funny about Nate is his rank stayed the same since RDA fight despite three great performances after that.

Diaz doesn't belong anywhere near a number1 contender match after losing to Conor on a full camp. That scrub needs to work his way back up.

Jeebus...

You're fuckin kiddin me, right ?

Nate simply WILL NOT take any other fight. Than the trilogy with Conor, at WW.

You're apparently suggesting. Or promoting the idea of Nate fighting Tony.

So, that Nate can risk getting injured... Thereby.

COMPLETELY FUCKING HIMSELF OUT OF THE TRILOGY with Conor.

Seriously...

Do you understand the concept here ? Are you fuckin cognitive of the real world, in real time ?

YES... By all means

Take an asshole fight, and...

THROW AWAY MILLIONS !

his fights against mcgregor weren't at lightweight. I don't think losing a 'close decision' gets you a higher rank either.

anyway I don't think anyone coming from a loss should get any kind of title shot but that ship has sailed a long time ago...

I would rather see deserving fighters get the shot but that is not how the UFC operates.

Fun fight, but Nate would get murked.

First off do we really need an interim title?

secondly why nate diaz? he doesn't deserve it. as much as alverez

Nate wouldn't peak at 155, wtf is this shit, he would have to go through a hard weight cut, be dehydrated and rehydrated in 24 hours. and he's going to perform even better than having an easy weight cut to 170??
wtf is this shit.

but yea it's the perfect time, except they won't pay Nate the 2 million he wants to fight.
