Time to put your money where you mouth is and donate to Bernie

They can't LIVE off of their investments, my man. They're not capitalists. They have to work.

People in this category are so friggin overconfident when things are going well for them. But all it takes is one bad downturn and they're panicking. If only they had the sense to realize sometimes you need a little insurance when things go bad.

Haha I personally know many people with incomes in the 86-90k (immigrants in this country for 2 decades) who own multiple small properties at 700-1200 a pop monthly. Netting time a healthy return on their investments instead of having the money in banks. They only wish to make more and have their money work for them instead of the other way around. It’s the American way if you want it you can work for it and have it. Ol bern is laughing all the way to the bank with you suckers. Best wannabe communist hustler in the biz....and I can at least respect the hustle

Nail on the head. OP would be better off donating to a local charity if he actually wanted to make a difference.

Like. Nothing like wasting your money on some politician

I understand that you believe the problem is complicated.

One of the real problems in this country is that the politicians aren't actually interested in finding real solutions.

Bernie is credible and actually has the will to change things, unlike Obama, Hillary, or Trump.

He seems like he's too simple in his message, but that's exactly why he's been so popular. You need simple messaging in a campaign.

We have to put someone in office who cares first. In the short-term, he'll put more money in our (workers) pockets. In the long term, he'd be many times more thoughtful than anyone else in finding good solutions.

Bernie baby!
I mean maybe. Guy is genuine but I don't see how nay if his polices would make anything better in the long term. You can still have capitalism, just not unfettered capitalism. Bernie definitely wants some degree of socialism, and with diversity as well as longer lives, socialism becomes increasingly difficult to maintain

Giving money to any candidate let alone a fake communist with a summer home....with heart problems...who was kicked out of a hippy commune for being too lazy...who will get passed up again by the more viable candidate..craziest thing I’ve read on the dog today and that’s saying something

<WellThere>

Question for you.

Do you think Bernie wants anything that isn't a new, new deal?

I mean do you really think Bernie wants anything more than Medicare 4 all, which is literally the new deal Medicare program expanded, and free college, something the states used to subsidize to the tune of 90%?

Are these really the programs that you think will turn us into socialists?

Ok folks, here's the deal... I'm about to go Kevin Lee in this B.

Either you're a capitalist, the type of person that makes most of his money investing his capital, or you're a worker. If you have greater than $2.5 million in CAPITAL to invest, then you're a capitalist (a 10% year of investment would give you $250 k, enough to live off of).

For everyone else, you're a worker! I don't care if you're making $20,000 a year or $250,000. You're a worker, you earn a paycheck, you don't live off your money.

Workers have gotten a raw deal in the last 40 years. Rising costs, stagnant wages, and declining benefits from the government. After the new Deal, workers were sitting pretty and were able to enjoy the fruits of a strong post-war economy. Slowly, those benefits have been eroded.

This isn't by accident. The business community got together and decided they would work together to take most of those benefits back. They promoted a 'trickle-down' or 'supply-side' theory of economics as an alternative, with the idea that while you personally would get less benefits, everyone would benefit from a stronger economy.

We now know that is completely false. The evidence is right there, the capitalist class made tremendous profits in the last 10 years, and the workers got shafted - inequality skyrockets.

We need to elect the one guy who's going to fix the balance of benefits between worker and capitalist - BERNIE! Not Warren, not Biden, not anyone else. BERNIE!

DONATE NOW TO HELP GIVE HIM MOMENTUM.

BERNIE SANDERS IN THIS BITCH!

No, Andrew Yang for the upset

You sound scared of the ol' Bern.

You can tell because you guys used to talk nice about him.

I’ve never been nice to communists, especially not fake ones. If he’s elected president I’ll respect the vote of my fellow Americans and won’t cry about it for 4 years...that I can say

The funny part is that my anarcho-syndicalist self, is closer to a communist than Bernie is.

I actually want to use the law to literally force the purchase of corporate America using free money from the FED, and seize the boards of production, instead of the means of production, for the workers.

“If you're running a business based on debt, then you have to look at the value of the business minus the debt”

What? Are you claiming that if you borrow capital (at interest) in order to invest it to make a profit you are not a capitalist?! Seriously?

Entrepreneurship is the definition of capitalism; the very reason why the old worker/bosses paradigm is no longer relevant is that so many ordinary people are now stakeholders in the capitalist system. Anyone who owns a small business, any landlord, anyone with a pension investment, even any mortgage holder who bought in order to level up is a capitalist. All these people rely on the liquidity of capital and continuous economic growth/currency inflation.

Being rich and being a capitalist are not the same thing.
@AlexDB9
If you're being intellectually honest, you should try to confront the opponent's strongest version of his argument, not contrive the weakest form and attack that.

You know what I'm getting at. And you're confusing free enterprise, capitalism, and being in the capitalist class.

Taking out debt to make a profit doesn't all of a sudden put you in the capitalist class. Then any schmuck with 0 savings could convince a bank to give him a series of mortgages, and boom, capitalist. That's not how it works.

The business eventually has to be profitable, and the profit has to exceed the value of the loan, and eventually exceed $2.5 M. Come on man, you know what I'm talking about.

I'm all for Bernie getting the Nomination. It appears at least on the surface that the establishment Dems are not going to allow it to happen (again). If he gets the nomination, Nancy will lose the House and she seems to be doing everything she can to boost Biden and hurt Bernie. If that doesn't work, the super Delagates will try to take him out. Watch... ;)

Stand ye calm and resolute,
Like a forest close and mute,
With folded arms and looks which are
Weapons of unvanquished war.

And if then the tyrants dare,
Let them ride among you there;
Slash, and stab, and maim and hew;
What they like, that let them do.

With folded arms and steady eyes,
And little fear, and less surprise,
Look upon them as they slay,
Till their rage has died away:

Then they will return with shame,
To the place from which they came,
And the blood thus shed will speak
In hot blushes on their cheek:

Rise, like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number!
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you:
Ye are many—they are few!

Those are there. I am not sure UHI will work in the US given the obesity and simple desire for medicine and no change in life style.
That said south Korean instituted a 15 dollar min wage. It rocked their economy and has been very harmful to it. France has regulations that have stifled economic growth and have caused massive under employment.
Take out system and tweak it. Make people responsible. End lobbying. Break up monopolies ie the mega banks, big tech and maybe the media companies. Do that and you'll do more than any fool can legislate. Given how badly they do things. Like Dodd frank making banks even bigger due to regulation burdens that impact ed small banks harder.

I think you know all of that is impossible until you address the party apparatus in the DNC and RNC.

It's easy to talk about making changes against the interests that are entrenched. It's much more difficult to actually build an alternative party apparatus, that shakes atleast one of those two choke points to the core.

Maybe the next populist president Republicans elect can actually be capable of solving the other side of that equation.

Bernie's the only credible person on campaign finance and lobbying reform...

I agree with that part. But in this like with sjw, he will over shoot and cause far more harm than he ever intended. Dude has two good ideas and a lot of bad ones. Basically as stocks go, his up side is capped. While his down wide is infinite

You voting 3rd party?

Because if your choice is Bernie and the threat of his unintended consequences, or Trump and the threat of his unintended consequences, isn't that a easy choice?
