Time to get rid of Anik?

Having watch the man since he started, I gave him the benefit of the doubt until I realized he has zero enthusiasm for the sport, lack understanding of its advanced mechanics and is probably a cyborg.
This is my conclusion after witnessing his absurd head bobbing while talking and other unpleasant mannerisms. His voice just sounds terrible. I always adjust down the treble when there's a Stann/Anik card, in order to avoid a headache.

After he failed to do much to acknowledge the first omoplata in UFC history, I ask
Why keep the guy around any longer?

Who does he appeal to?

Until they replace him, I'm ordering one of these.

I rarely get annoyed with the commentators. I like Joe, Kenny, Goldie, Stann, Hardy, the other British bloke...

but man. Anik really gets on my fucking nerves. I don't even know why. I'm sure he's a decent guy just doing his job but he's just so bland and his cliches are annoying.

If they got a new pbp guy, well, that would be just what the doctor ordered.

His enthusiasm sounds soooooo forced. When Dos Anjos stopped Bendo it should have been a memorable call. All i could think about was how awesome Rogan would have called it. Instead we got Aniks weak ass commentating and forced yell.

He completely pulled away from Dos Anjos mid speech to the brazilians too lol

idk man he just seriously does nothing for me commentating fights. I dont mind kenflo as much but hes more technical at least. neither do a good job of color commentating.

Seems like he gets a decent amount of love tho so its something im gunna have to deal with

By whom is he liked? The criticisms always outweigh the defenses. They don't even outweigh the praise because he doesn't do anything well enough to warrant any.

People defending him just say what he does poorly isn't so bad - that's how bad he is.

Don't worry - just about no one likes him. No redeeming qualities.

They need to move him to some type of tv hosting job. He should be hosting UFC Tonight. He was good on ESPN's MMA Live but he's not cutting it as an announcer. He hasn't improved at all.
