I used to be a hater. Called him impotent, fringe top 10, I said his biggest accomplishment in life was getting poked by Leon.

But I concede that the dude is impressive. Top notch timing on those TDs, very good defense, top shelf gas tank, quality pacing and plays it smart.

I know that he will likely never finish a fight but he is impressive at what he does.

I think he is never getting a TS because non finishing style and generally unlikable, but he is a formidable test to anyone on his way to a title imo.

Everywhere I looked people gave him a pretty strong shot of winning. As far as I am aware no one doubts his skills. His criticisms are more centered on that he has a boring style and never gets the finish.

I was a fan of the guy early because everybody hated him and I liked him being technical. Then he climbed the rankings bored me to death and beat Wonderboy in the meantime. Now he beats Luque too?

Gotta respect him for maximizing his skills and fight IQ to the point of being a dollar store GSP but I find it hard to root for him.

Hopefully he gets Colbi next and I can root for him again.

More or less true, but I think the reason he won't get a shot is that he can't likely beat Usman, colby, Leon, khamzat or burns
