Wec had the best lw division . The same goes for randy the heavyweight division . He’s not beating fedor, big nog or prime crop cop. I don’t see Bj being able to beat benson , cowboy , pettis . No Body from bj tenture at lw is even around . Kenny , Diego , Sean shark ? While the lw is basically wec , yes look at the rankings Dustin included.

Time to stop having revisionist history (or trolling). If you weren't watching back then, you probably don't know what you're talking about on this topic.

The WEC had a fantastic LW roster. I don't know who would win between BJ and the top WEC guys, but I don't think it is a lock either way. But the idea that BJ is the LW GOAT isn't well-founded imo. LW is like LHW used to be before Jones; there's a lot of great fighters with no one head and shoulders above the rest.

I agree Coutoure wouldn’t have beaten prime Fedor, Nog or Cro Cop

    But the part about BJ.....

I’m tired of this motivated bj shit . No one he has beaten is relevant. He’s not beating any of those guys . I don’t think he could even beat Nate Diaz

I didn't think Chuck was the best.

BJ had arguably the best takedown defense. And much better boxing than nearly everyone. That's not mentioning his grappling.
That sounds like a more complete fighter than the guy who was a wrestler and got Showtime kicked, or the guy who got grapple fucked by Clay Motherfucking Guida.

You've also ignored the fact that your own title says that he "never was the best lw in the world".

So was there never lw before WEC?

I think you got me mixed up with @Rea_ctor

I didn’t say anything about “motivated BJ”

I think it has a lot to do with BJ taking on all comers from HW to LW and beating many of them. BJ was a very talented fighter but he was also crazy. Skill wise he was arguably the best LW ever and in 2010 I don't see the 3 guys you mention beating him but his ventures out of LW and the beatings he took against much bigger guys added up and affected both his record and longevity.

Had he stayed at LW it likely would have been a much different story but he wouldn't be the legend he is today either.

In the park, playing touch butt with that dork.
    Sean Sherk is 36-4-2.

His only losses are against Matt Hughes, GSP, BJ and Frankie Edgar.
    What a scrub...
