I don't think Struve has a fight lined up, and yes I know he's coming off 2 losses while Miocic was just champ, but the purpose would be to have Stipe avenge that loss before making another run at the title.

Would be the saddest fall from grace ever, so no. Losing to DC while being the UFC HW champ with the most defenses doesn't put you back that far.

Doesn't matter anymore no one cares about that loss. Like you said guy on a 2 L streak vs former decorated champ. Volkov or Blaydes

that's really stupid...

Avenging such an old loss to a fighter who's no longer really in the mix just doesn't matter much.

Set him up against Blaydes on the Cormier-Lesnar card so there's a back up plan in case someone gets injured or gets popped by USADA,

why sad. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind fighting struve, I would bet he would like it

It would be sad as in a "meaningless fight".

Losing to DC shouldn't set you back as far as to avenge losses that didn't really matter and happened years ago.

Stipe should fight a contender. Struve isn't one.

Wouldn't do anything for him at this point. Would be like Anderson going back and fighting Takase or Chonan 5 years later. Blaydes, Volkov or Cain if possible would be far better for him.

A lot of people care about this L. It's constantly brought up when Miocic was being discussed as possibly being the goat of HW

That's too much of an exaggerated comparison. Struve is still worthy enough to fight guys in the top 5-10

Blaydes should get a title shot.
I don’t believe this Brock thing is really going to happen.

The obvious fight is Stipe and Blaydes in like Oct or Nov..

Eh I think everyone will shit on Stipe now unless he goes on another long tear.

nah.

going from record-breaking champ to fighting a guy not even in the top 10 (who hasn't beat a top HW since the first fight), doesn't seem to make much sense at all...never mind that wtf do you do with Stipe if he somehow loses that rematch.

the risk is not worth the paper reward of avenging a loss that was already undone by Stipe's accomplishments since then.

Struve's coming off 2 losses. Tybura(#8) is the highest ranked opponent he could hope for right now. Stipe's undoubtedly the second guy in the division behind DC. My point was it's a completely meaningless fight that does nothing for him right now.

if struve was in the top 10 maybe. but it does stipe no good other then collecting some money to go beat struve up lol
