If Lefty beats Tiger, it will prove he's the best golfer of this past generation.

Hopefully the ppv will cost the same as Mayweather - McGregor

Wait, are they actually gonna try to sell this on PPV?

It feels like something stupid that would be on Spike TV.

Having said that, I'll be shitfaced Thanksgiving weekend doing my American duty of watching Tiger vs Phil (via bootleg stream, not paying for this nonsense)

It will do bigger numbers than any pseudo-sport PPV in the last 10 years.

I doubt anyone here loves golf/watching golf as much as I do and I couldn’t care less about this - I’m really surprised there’s any interest in it

Does anybody remember the prime time Tiger vs Duval/Sergio/Annika matches from the early 2000’s? This is basically the same thing just for more money. I know $9 million is a ton of money to us but not to these guys - they’ve both skipped FedEx playoff events and the winner of that gets $10 million

Phil’s had a great career but it’s miles behind Tiger, beating him in this wouldn’t do anything to change that

    You're too poor for golf.

Golf is a extremely tough, skillfull sport that most mental midgets can't hack.

    This.

and they're both waayy past their prime.
won't waste my time on this garbage.

    I'll pirate it.

That said, I hope Tiger beats Phil worse than he beat Stephen Ames in 2006.

floyd mayweather and manny pacquiao are laughing at these guys saying they waited waaaay to long to make it happen.

does that mean we can finally get that one on one with Akeem Olajuwon taking on Shaq?

Why is Tiger the Las Vegas betting favorite?

It’s all about balancing the bets in Vegas, Tiger always has the most money coming in on him so his odds are always too low to discourage even more bets on him

Plus, despite the fact that Phil is leading this week Tiger’s been the better player since Phil won in Mexico

Why would anyone pay to watch golf? Even if you love golf, its such a slow boring game to watch. Why not just wait to see how they did after its done? Does anyone actually get excited watching this stuff?
"Oh no, here he goes, hes walking toward the green!" "Almost ready, hes lining up the putt!"
I cant think of anything exciting about it. I recognize the skill it takes and find it interesting but a payperview!?

not to mention it involves two (admittedly great) over the hill golfers who are on the back nine of their career. and it's not even their own money!
it's rumored that Phil volunteered to put up his own money in the thing but Tiger refused, cheap bastard that he is. apparently he doesn't believe in tipping either, never leaves one.
I guess he has something else in mind for those waitresses at Denny's.
