Rose Namajunas at 26 years of age, has improved leaps and bounds since TUF.

She clearly has gotten much better with her striking, her movement and overall skill. Kinda reminds me of TJ Dillashaw when it comes to how fast she was able to absorb new tools and create a style all of her own. Not to mention her bread and butter is BJJ.

SO My question to all of Sherdog, if she loses her title to a larger, stronger fighter which I feel she will to a woman who can bully her like Jessica Andrade. I dont know how much weight Rose cuts to make 115 but I know she does cut some weight. If Rose ever decided to add some muscle as well, being only 26 years of age she will naturally put a little more weight on as she gets older (or maybe add implants like Paige VanZant) J/K moderators

Without Valentina Shevchenko in the conversation. How well DO YOU see Namajunas doing at 125 pounds?

She gets out muscled by some of these girls moving down from BW.

Would be a contender before even fighting at 125... Shoot. Who else does the winner next Saturday have to fight.

Idk, dude. She's just starting her run at 115, and you're already trying to move her up? It's not like she's constantly missing weight like Dern. Lets see how she does against Andrade first.

    Agree

She has great movement and speed that would beat most girls that are slow and sloppy but grappling wise girls like Carmouche would be a problem.

The women moving down to 125 are going to do better overall than the ones coming up from 115. We knew that the second they announced 125

Rose has a slick ground game. I don't think she would get destroyed, but definitely not a good weight class for her.

Rose just won back-to-back victories against the consensus best SW of all time, and has never missed weight once. She has no reason whatsoever at this point to think about moving up.

This. I don't think Rose would do too well there, she is not even a big SW anyway.

Personally I predict FlW to become very competitive as time goes by, and probably the best/deepest WMMA division eventually.

way to small but that Ronin Valentina has trained at 303 with her a bunch so I'd assume fairly well

To flip the question, do you think Rose and/or a few other 115 strawweights would do better at atomweight? After all, Waterson and Penne fought there before.

Rose has lots of great potential fights... Some losses to avenge, and come new contenders...

I think she can give lots of the current 125'ers a good scrap... But I think her best road is the one she is on right now.

She has heart, ever increasing violence and can be really funny.

does she has problems with weight cutting? if not, wjhat is point?
She kinda blowed up with weight recently, but it could be because of lack of training, it can be sign body is getting tired with weight cuts but she is not Max Holloway who was cutting weight 3 times per year, last few years, so I don't think so.

Well, based on what I've seen, Watterson & Penne should go back to atom/invicta

Plenty for her to prove at 115 before she thinks about 125, I'd see her being outmuscled there in any case.

Because I dont think she will hold her spot at 115 against girls that can just hold her down and out muscle her. Technical fights I have no issue with shes all good there. Andrade will Hulk slam her through the mat

Believe me I hope I am wrong and she can beat her as JJ was able to

Not quite well considering the fact that should-be atomweight Carla Esparza toyed her at 115
