The uppercut wasn't the solution to his problem. Every time he threw it he got countered flush by Cain's straight. JDS problem was his footwork and gameplan tonight. He lacked lateral movement and his trademark body jabs. Every time Cain bumrushed him or shot for a takedown he simply swung a hail mary shot and backpedal'd into the fence instead of sidestepping and jabbing away at Cain's unbalanced state. It was almost as if his gameplan was to stick to the fence so that he wouldn't get taken down.
