Terrible news. I will say a prayer for the fallen officers, the ones fighting for life and the ones that are searching for him.

Surprised the vultures aren't in here cheering the death of the cops. Cause you know they are all shitty people...

RIP to my brothers in blue north of the border. Good luck in your hunt for the suspect.

It's too early yet, most of them will just have to wait until their parents go to sleep before they can have the internet.

Nah... This is easily going to turn into a gun rights thread and how Canada's "strict" gun laws didn't prevent this from happening.

I realize there's not much info yet, but does anyone have any idea who this guy is or why he is doing this?

Well, if he owned guns, he was likely pro-gun ownership.

Honestly, wacky though his Facebook stuff is, besides the poetry he sounds like any of a number of posters around Sherdog.

I agree with that, he looks like the perfect profile of a bunch of people here.

It's not poetry, it's lyrics from heavy metal bands.

A cockroach in the concrete, courthouse tan and beady eyes.
A slouch with fallen arches, purging truths into great lies.
A little man with a big eraser, changing history

Crazy stuff, suspect is still at large. The article contains of photo of the suspect, only 24 years old.

Just reading the headline made my knees buckle a bit, just like the killing of 4 RCMP officers in Mayerthorpe some years back.

Why the buckling of your knees?

Mentally disturbed, pushed over the edge etc etc

to answer protect and serve, i am never happy when anyone gets killed. however, i am much less bothered by a cop dying than i was years ago. perhaps its because i realize that so many cops dont give a shit about citizens.

also, i dont get why we are supposed to feel worse when a cop dies than when anyone else does. rip to those who died though

I know quite a few RCMP members, and we work alongside their agency often.

Ah shit... I hope its no one you know man.
If they havent apprehended or killed this nutbag i hope they do soon and that no more lives are lost.

This is crazy. I can't believe the guy is still at large. Moncton is a small city.

I saw one of the RCMP members trying to address the media on TV a few minutes ago. He cracked up and had to walk away. Sad to see. I imagine the police force is pretty tight knit in a small city like that.

They drew first blood, not me!
