thoughts/opinions on christy martin/ laila ali

we dont often talk about womens boxing, so im asking you guys what do you think about their histories, skillsets, careers.

I think christy should have fought lucia rijker and laila should have fought Ann Wolfe. I think that both of these women ducked the better comp. and lived off of the media hype (Christy being the 1st female fighter to be on ppv and ali because of her father). I dont think either of them were the best at their respective weight classes while they fought. Ali vs Martin was a total joke as well. Martin was a welterweight and Ali was lightheavy. They just used Martin for her name to build up the hype of Ali. I would rather see up and comming male fighter on ppv than a one sided fight between women.

 

True. I'd also rather see a one sided beatdown between men then watching an up and coming female fighter.
