Thoughts on tonight's card (Lawler/RDA), and Mcgregor's next move.

This card felt like it would be a great value as a PPV, let alone a freebie. I hate seeing a guy who misses weight run over his opponent, but that was such an impressive KO. Perry really needs to diversify his arsenal if he wants to climb the ranks, but he's exciting enough that I'll watch him regardless. Glover is one of my favorite fighters, to to see him get past Cirk's striking was amazing. RDA is an absolute savage, one of the most well conditioned athletes we've ever seen. I believe they're going to give RDA the title shot against Woodley asap. If RDA wins, we get Mcgregor/RDA for the 170 pound belt during international fight week. If Mcgregor manages to win, his one and only title defense will be against GSP.

I really enjoyed a free night of fights...especially the Mike Perry fight, and the main event of course.

Entertain ing but disappointing from a tactically and intelligent fighter/corner aspect.. alotnofn1 dimensionsal fighters

Also, it's almost 2018. It's kinda disappointing how many fighters still have the clinch defence of Rich Franklin and/or the low kick defence of a Diaz brother. It's hard to believe that Robbie Lawler, a top 5 WW and former champ was happily trading body punches for knees against RDA, especially considering that RDA had partially broken Robbie's posture so that he couldn't get full power into the punches. And when he was having good success with the knees to RDA's body, he stopped using them after a round and never went back to them. And he had no clue how to break a clinch, and backed himself into the fence in Twood style.

Most of the fights on this card were fun as hell, but man was there ever a ton of amateur hour stuff.

yup.. id say in the very least there was 3 fights.. but prob more like 5 where some good corner work and intelligent fighting would've won the day... laprise kinda did this..but against a guy who has no business in ufc at this point in his career.. he was so easily conquered on the ground it was as if he never trained a day in mma.

What's up with the he post fight press conference? There were like 5 people there

Really great card man, I enjoyed it a lot. Lawler/RDA was a great match up and RDA just did so well.
