Haven't really seen much of this guy prior to the fight last night, but man he looked real impressive to me, especially taking into account that he only had 2 weeks to prepare against a straight killer like Thiago Santos. Who would you want to see him fight next?

eh, how did he look impressive? I dont know how they even gave him a round, it was a pretty one-sided beating.

Considering the fact that he took the fight on 2-weeks notice and went the distance with a bona fide finisher in Thiago Santos, that's impressive by itself. He also did threaten him on his back and generally showed off a slick ground game.

There are no moral victories in the fight game. The truth is that he looked like a WW fighting a MW.

Dude needs to drop down to 170. He's stated he doesn't like cutting weight. Then he better start liking losing fights.

Looked pretty weak physically even against dead tired Santos. Needs to drop down or something. I mean Santos is huge but it's not a good look when you just get dragged down to the ground at will by a guy who isn't even a great wrestler.

Get a good nutritionist, get down to 170, and don't play around too much.

He's only 25, I see some potential in him

Will be halfway decent and continue to act like a jackass in the cage, if he starts doing that out of it he will be like a lesser known diaz cousin

I dont get why everyone saying he's small Santos is just muscular. He has same frame as Adesanya.

Pretty hard to say anything positive about his performance. Dude got straight jobbed. Hopefully they give him another fight since he stepped up last minute and then he can show something if there’s anything to show

Thread proves people hear Dana White talk and let that influence their feelings, you just repeated what he said at the post fight presser. Holland was clowning too much and other than the arm bar attempt was never in a winning position the whole fight. He needs to be fighting at 170 at his size, he would get merked by most of the top 10 at 185.

2 weeks notice in his UFC debut against a proven monster. He got mauled but showed heart, composure, a promising skill set and personality.

Haven’t heard Dana’s opinion on the matter. I saw a young prospect with promising skills. He won’t be a world beater but will certainly make some good fights.

He looked less than impressive in his DWTNCS fight, a fight I'm pretty sure was gifted to him in order to get some highlights when he finally made the transition into the UFC. Instead of that, he spent 15 minutes showboating and talking against a short fat old Will Santiago to get a lackluster UD. He needs to take the fighting game seriously and put on some muscle, he's tall and rangy and shouldn't be cutting down to WW

I think he might need to work on his mental game. He was really triggered when Santos accidentally kicked him in the nuts and it threw him off his game for a couple of minutes.

Props to everyone who saw Holland's potential even in losing. You actually know what you are watching.

The rest of you probably thought Johnny Walker was the next GOAT at the time.
