Has thompson implemented his karate better than machida?

Seems like he's more exciting, throws heavier shots and lands much more frequently.

His side stance, darting in and out, is his style better than machidas?

Machida is a former champion and long time top 5 fighter. So, no.

I asked if his implementation of karate into mma was better than machidas. Nobody asked if his accomplishments or rankings were better u tard. Stop being all defensive just because i compared him to a fighter u like.

hell no. He's not as accurate on the counter at all. He also doesn't get in and out as well. It's a very different style though. It is working for now though. I'd like to see how it works against a guy with a great chin. Machida was able to be the first guy to knock out a bunch of fighters. I'm not sure Wonderboy has that in him. I do like watching him fight. I hope he has a lot of success.

I agree but its still karate with the darting in n out that he mentioned.

Gsp attributes the getting inside for takedowns to karate. Machida as well. So its similar in that aspect.

So i would say thompsons karate seems more exciting for mma.

I absolutely hate Lyoto Machida. So, what are you talking about? And how has Lyoto Machida not implemented his karate better? He's KO'ed world class competition with it, won a championship with it, not guys like Dan Stittigen and fucking Chris Clements.

Hits more but gets hit more. He is more entertaining imo.
I'm still a huge fan of Machida's trip takedowns.

More exciting for fans who love a brawl. I think Machida's is more refined, more accurate and way better.

Thompsons karate v GSPs karate is the real question.

But i doubt its one we ever have answered in the octagon.

the difference between Thompson's karate and Machida karate has more to do with the amount of urine consumption then anything imo.

I think Thompson's karate is about as good actually, and it is a much more aggressive style overall. The key is that he does not have Machida's positional grappling skills. Machida was able to use those skills to deeply enhance his striking game.

Machida and Thompson are two different style of Karate. Either way Machida still more technical and faster than Thompson.

Can test the theory by throwing him in the octagon with Robert Whittaker. Whittaker fights a LOT like Machida.
