- It is not for him to train with me, but Thominhas is a monster. He's 17-0, and never chose opponents, so much so that he fought against China (Gilmar Sales). The China is the No. 1 national ranking in muay thai in the 66kg and 61kg in the Thominhas fight. I so wanted to test it against a guy who asked striking in this fight muay thai. The China has some 140 muay thai fights, had never been knocked out. I could not, but one day I was offered this fight in MMA, and we ended the duel in 66kg. Everyone spoke the Thominhas might want to take him down, but he wanted to exchange ass and said, "Someone will fall." And knocked out in less than three minutes of fighting. Not that it entered a fluke. He dominated and walked to the front all the time. It was the first time that he was knocked out - Lima said to Combate.com.
According to the coach, the skills of "Thominhas" are not restricted to striking. The bantamweight, by the way, no date or confirmed for his UFC debut location. Diego to Lima, the ideal was to get underneath. But, if the pupil is placed against the lions right away, the confidence in his ability will not change:
- Thomas is very aggressive and very good guy. Also has a very good jiu-jitsu, even the guys not seeing it, since he likes striking. It is a purple belt and trains at Barbosa every day, is sinister. Has wrestling days, and the striking forget it. The pressure factor, I particularly wanted him estreasse a preliminary card at UFC in Brazil, against a guy who is also beginning. Now, I know him and know who he is, if he debut in the USA in a main card against a top 5, I will not want it, but I bet my car on it.
He wanted to fight Sergio Pettis from a phone interview:
To be honest, who doesn't matter I'll be ready, but a very nice guy who has a name for being the brother of lightweight champion, is Sergio Pettis. I think it would be a good fight, high level, he has a style that marries well with mine. I've seen some of his fights because he is the brother of Anthony, to see how it is, and I think it would be cool. The place for me is indifferent. In Brazil it would be cool for my country, but where they send, I'll be prepared for war.
Can't wait for his debut, already one of the top strikers in the division and a lot of potential. Could very well be the next great Brazilian.
