JDS brutally slays the champ then a year later the former champ Cain regains both belt and swag by dominating a 5 rounder but not with out JDS showing major heart. But all I hear from Cain fans(which I am) is "Cain was hurt before" "JDS got lucky with a wild punch". Then from JDS fans"JDS was sick" "Cain was afraid to try to finish". Finally from the most delusional of all Overeem fans with "JDS cant strike with K-1 OWGP Champ" or " Velasquez could never make it in K-1. Please Cain and JDS are the top 2 HW's they might give us 5 fights between them you mfers are assholes for denigrating either one.
I don't get the 'heart' thing to be honest. I don't always see the common shsnse in taking a skull crushing beating when you're clearly outclassed. it's easier to call it 'heart' than foolishness, I guess.
I think JDS will come back strong. You don't become UFC champ by being a push over. People are still hating on Cain but he's legit. No his boxing isnt perfect, he doesn't hit as hard as JDS, but he's a phenomenal MMA fighter. He's also got some unique abilities for a HW. I'd love to see a third fight.
Hey JDS took jaw braking but his spirit never broke. These two will make each other greater and thus make the sport greater. I smell a 3-2 one way or another......because no one is even close to either.
That's what I'm saying, TS. I like JDS more than Cain, but IMO Cain is so god damn good it would have been a shame for him to lose and for all MMA fans to not get a trilogy. This makes the HW division that much more epic, that much more interesting, and should produce great fights in 2013.
Me too. Only after Cain destroys Overeem and JDS hammers Werdum (provided he beats Big Nog) or Cormier though.
After tonight!! The last thing I want to see is those 2 fights. Probly the worse HW title fight i have ever seen. New breed of MMA my ass. Fedor vs Nog, NOg vs Barnett.....those were Hw fights. This was hilarious.
I saw those fights too they were good but this was on that level. Fedor v Cro cop, Velasquez v Dos Santos, Fedor v Nog, Igor v Colman. Epic 1v 2 battles.
