Fedor being a humble guy, and man of few words, didn't make him the GOAT, but it certainly added to his mystique. He was like a silent, emotionless killer in the ring, but just a polite, soft-spoken guy outside of it. In a sport full of aggressive, trash-talking types, it def added something to his aura of invincibility that he was the antithesis of most of those traits, and was the best in spite of it. As for the money, of course he did it for the money. It was a career, and he needed to provide for his family. I'm sure his love of martial arts was the main reason for him getting into it, but ultimately, he wouldn't have did what he did if there wasn't a financial incentive to do so. He would've worked some regular job and did Sambo on the side probably.
