Any top wrestler roughly the same size as olivera ground and pounds him pretty easily, that was the main take away from last night

A great moment for sure. Not many names jump out to me, besides Bisping, that fought for so long to win the title. 10 years fighting at the highest level and finally getting props.

What a beautiful moment. You can tell he really wanted it so bad. The emotions are the culmination of years of hard work and highs and lows, and now he finally have it. Reminds me of Jordan's first title win in 1991. Congrats to Oliveira, he deserved it.

I could not be more proud of him, and it was a special, special day. He reminded me of Joanna when she first won the title, it was such an outpouring of emotion and beautiful to see.

Indeed, it was a great moment. For a kid from the favelas, to get where he is at after so much ups and downs in the UFC, you could really tell how much it meant to him.

I don't understand why people are hating on his win so much? He battled through adversity (which his haters said he couldn't and he didn't in the past) and came back with an awesome finish.

    The same size?

Chandler was probably much heavier/bigger in there.

You probably mean a wrestler the same height and reach as Oliveira, but even here i wouldn't agree.

Fair point, even the much smaller Gregor Gillespie would beat olivera

Kevin Lee fits your description. He's actually bigger than Charles. Bigger than Chandler too.

    Guida is another top wrestler.

    How so?

Oliveira has really good striking and i also think that while Gillespie might be the better wrestler on a technical level with more cardio than Chandler, he's not as physically strong, nor does he pose the same threat on the feet, no?
