CLIFFS:
P&G Scientist forgets that she has her child in the car and goes to work.
Leaves child in car for 9+ hours
Child Dies
P&G Scientist starts campaign to raise awareness...

“As a geneticist, one of the things I have to do, the part I can say I’m good at, is defining a problem,” says Ms. Osorio, 35, who holds a doctorate in development and genetics from Cornell University. “We wanted to drive the adoption of the habit of putting a bag in the back seat so parents, if they lose awareness, will catch themselves,” she says.

How is she not charged with negligence?

You have to subscribe to read the article, but that is pretty stupid. I have to agree.

What's the point of a bag? How about just don't forget your kid is in the car? Jesus Christ....

Wanted a sub.
Hmm, a familiar story. People who forget their children exist, that ain't just making a mistake. Inexcusable.

Not sure how a parent can forget that their kid is in the car. What the fuck is more important than that?

She’ll carry that tragedy in her heart until she dies. Imagine that on your conscience.

I see nothing wrong with bringing awareness to the deadly situation of leaving a kid in the back seat. If i can recall, (trying ot find article) leaving kids in back seat is more common than we think. Much of the time is from negligence. Example, a mom leaving baby/kids in car while she shops or getting nails did. Other times, it's really through lapse of memory. This happens when a routine is suddenly interrputed, but your mind is used to a set of actions each day, and foregoing new actions like taking a kid to daycare. By the time you realized sometime is off, it's usually too late. Any action that could could save some kids life is okay with me.

Actually feel bad for her

Feel bad but c'mon. 9 hours? Where did you think your baby was?

Yeah there's a clear distinction between a horrific lapse and actually making the conscious decision to leave your kid in the car while you go do shit

Can't read the article but it sounds like this lady is trying to do something that perhaps would've prevented her lapse. This can only be a good thing, if it only prevents a single incidence then it's well worth it

How the fuck did she not remember her child? Mine make that much fucking noise I wish i could forget them, sometimes.

This is actually sadder than that lady in Pittsburgh who dropped her baby in the African Wild Dog pen. The Pittsburgh lady got caught up in the excitement. This lady just forgot.

Yeh, that is punishment enough. I dont know how you move on from that. Well I guess starting a campaign to make sure people dont forget their kids in the back seat is a good way, but still, that must hurt bad.

How is she not charged with homocide?

Don’t believe that bs story for a second.

She’s full of shit.

“She’s not an artist or musician, her thing is to think”!
