Based on UFC 270, the first card of this year, it seems the ufc have done something unprecedented. The ufc did a number of things such as increase the PPV price, the espn plus subscription price, and the fact that they also get money from the live gate (no lockdown). At the same time they’ve also decreased the fighter payout. Based on the numbers released, it seems fighter pay was better last year during covid. For all of you who thought Francis was arrogant, apparently he wasn’t lying when he said the pay was pathetic. At this rate within 5 years the PPV will be 100 dollars, espn plus with be 20 dollars a month, and the fighters will end up with 10 percent of the revenue.

What an expensive sport to follow for fans…

In the USA, yes. I could get it for 10 bucks/ month i think but didnt even bother to check cause Internet and no cares.

80 bucks is a lot of money for some people. Even 8 is and given the product its either luxury or stupidity to pay that price for one advertisement filled Event.

I mean, they even advertise the fighters who are about to fight just for the sake of their shitty product advertisement. Its truly comical.

If you wanted to watch every event and pay for everything the UFC asks you to, it would come out to around a thousand bucks a year. For a lot of people that's a month or more's rent, a budget flight to Europe with return, months worth of utilities, a couple months of groceries, twenty trips to the gas pump, over a year of internet service, etc.

Find a different model. I'll keep streaming. Having yourself filmed while walking around casinos carrying bricks of cash is great PR Dana. None of your customers will feel taken for granted I'm sure.
