Izzy reached elite level in Kickboxing, Silva wouldn't reach elite level in Boxing, Muaythai, or Kickboxing. Silva is definitely the better athlete, he hits harder and I believe he is slightly faster but then he also popped for steroids.

Anderson had an easier time pulling the trigger. He just seemed so loose in there while Izzy can be super passive. Both great strikers.

Anderson had an absolute granite chin in his prime. Adesanya isn't a glass cannon, but he has experience taking a lot of damage and being KO'd.

Silva had better finishes for sure, but Adesanya has more opponents that are willing to sit on the outside and stay defensive. The difference is izzy will chop legs and cruise to decision, but Silva will drop his hands and clown to force them to come inside with him. Silva had boring decisions too, but Izzy does better with scoring points for a decision. They are different fighters. When Izzy had Costa and Whittaker willing to engaged he finished both. I just think Silva baited better and never centered his gameplan around a decision like Izzy does.

Israel adesanya got high level training at: modern (k1/glory style) kickboxing, boxing, muay thai, MMA, and Taekwondo.

He got a little experience in capoeira as well.

So basicly same as Anderson Silva.

So what is the difference? They are two different humans.

Anderson in his prime was well versed on Boxing,Muay Thai,BJJ,Taekwondo and Capoeira clearly a once in a life time master his head movement was effortlessly better and had 1 punch, kick, elbow, knee ko power

Current Adesanya after fighting a guy from the weight class below and way shorter height and reach than himself. Silva never got damaged until his final days.
