I lost to diverticulitis. I lost to Cain Velasquez. I lost to Alistair Overeem. I'm not here to avenge any loss other than to avenge the loss that I took to diverticulitis. I just want it.

He's not bitter about anything in the past. He felt he could have beaten Cain and Overeem if it wasn't for the illness, yet never complained about the losses. Even after Reem got suspended, he could have come out and said that Reem could have cheated in their fight but instead just focused on his duties with the WWE. If it were Rockhold, we would have seen hundreds of tweets to Overeem.

He could have even complained about how Dana put so much pressure on him that he had to defend the title and by pass the surgery, something very unwise for his health and career. But he just kept his mind on his current plan.

You might have noticed this pattern through out his career: walking away from the WWE for the first time to the NFL, then to the UFC, getting the title then leaving the UFC because of the illness, then back to the UFC again. No bitterness, just simply walk away to focus on the current goal. That's why I think he's gonna do very well.

He has a great attitude. I love Hunt but want Brock to do well too.

Win or lose, he always came out with a fun/funny approach.
Kind of like Lombard. You know that the fight will be fun, no matter how it ends.

See how you can spin an "excuse" to sound good or bad depending on how you like the fighter?

He's not here to avenge those losses, because they would both kick his ass again and he knows it. He has zero chance at beating those guys.

What's so bad about making an excuse? He had a very bad illness and he certainly could have performed better if he did not have it.

One of the worst fights ever!

If he trains properly, getting the shit beat out of him striking everyday for a few years, then he may have a chance to redeem himself.
There are 135lb BW women that can take a punch better then Brock.

Excuses have a very bad rep because they sound unsportsmanlike. But the fallacy is to believe that the circumstances dont affect the athlete's performance. Anybody who actually competes knows they do. Thats why I, in my humble head at least, give em a chance to redeem themselves more often than not.
I may not spout my concerns in public but deep down we all know to an extent that keeping your mouth shut is for the sake of sportsmanship only.

Brock is being a little too humble. Either he's grown up some or this was a fight taken to fulfill his contract. He's not talking shit even the slightest this time around. So he probably doesn't want to make any real-life enemies on his way out.

Yep, he was already talking mad shit before the first fight. None this time. Hope he refrains from responding to Hunt in kind.
