This is the police dept. that Jones stood up to

Jones tried to perform an unauthorized vehicular abortion last year.

No amount of flag-waving, cries of injustice, or misdirection are going to change that fact.

TAKE A FUCKING UBER JONATHAN

You bring up a good point but he was already punished for that incident. It doesnt really have anything to do with this situation unless youre saying Jon was not punished enough for what he did a year ago and so you dont care what possible injustices are done against him today as part of some kind of karmic debt even if there was abuse of power involved. The fact remains the Albuquerque PD is dirty as fuck.

Leaving a person or people in the car you just collided with to fend for themselves is the same as leaving them to potential harm.

No it's not. He ducked out like a coward. Call him a coward. But he didn't purposely harm anyone. Give it a rest.

I for one am not saying that these videos somehow exororate Jones of any guilt in this scenario. They are completely unrelated, and Jon has a history of "factual" traffic issues. He wrecked a Bentley under the influence, he injured a pregnant lady during a hit and run incident - he's not a saint at all.

Do I think the cop was a dick, and used the fact he has a gun and badge to make an example of Jon? Yes.

Do I have a sneaking suspicion that the cop knew Jon? Yes.

Do I think Jon was drag racing/driving carelessly? No, if Jon can prove it was a 35mph zone, then these are surely pretty near to impossible.

Do I think the cop overdid it because Jones was black? Yes.

Of course most of these are opinions, but I do feel for Jon in this situation - he's catching some bad breaks.

its a cool gif..... what about that is supposed to bother me? lol

it doesnt change the fact that Americans seriously over-use the word "patriot"
I dpnt give a shit..Im not here to respresent America.

All I know is America will besmirch Scotland or whatever third world nation ur from.

A man went to jail for revving his engine. Conspiracy or not - law or not - that's not a world I want to live in. That's not freedom. That's a police state selectively deciding when and who to fuck with so they can steal money and lock people in cages.

I'm not a Jon Jones fan at all, but this is a joke.

Really? What if every single person on the road were revving their engines. Does that sound like a pleasant environment? The offense was a ticket punishment. His arrest is due to the terms of his probation, of which he (and indeed all of us, even) was well aware. But no point arguing with you. You're obviously a social justice warrior.

I agree.
Still, this is like the 5th time he's caught doing something while driving.

That video was one of the worst things I have seen ever. Something needs to be done about that police department. Apparently they have a terrible history with this kind of stuff.

He wouldn't have had to "stand up to the police department" if he has been low key. He brought this in himself and I'm a Jones ballwasher

Do you really need an occupying force to protect you from the dangers of engine noise in the middle of the day?

People who defend police states deserve them.

He broke the law. Now he's got to pay.

Hmmm.... how can I use this thread to make a comment about Ronda being fat? Because she is. Fat.

PS:

That video was disgusting. It's pretty clear that he doesn't reach for a weapon, or make a gesture that they could have suspected to be something of that nature. I ask myself, what call/program was made/created to have that many cops, with those weapons/armor to hand, go into the desert in search of one man? What had he done, that was so suspicious or deserving of having that level of preparation called/ordered for? Cops don't roll around on duty with that armor and those weapons, that was scheduled! Also, why does the guy in the middle with the rifle shoot him several times while he's stirring, half-dead, on the ground? Necessary force? Life in danger?

That just ruined my night, thanks lol.

Not saying this is representative of all ABQ police, but let's be honest - it's a pretty small city, I've actually been there! It's a tiny city dumped in the middle of desert, there is a relatively "rough" feeling to it. Doesn't exactly strike you as "well off". So it's difficult to not generalize, with such a small force. Tarred with the same brush, so to speak!

Him exercising his first ammendment right to free speech shouldn't have anything to do with it.

What about the guy in the video the OP posted? It's clear the APD kills homeless people for sport with impunity.

He already did 75 in a 35 since then, a few weeks ago.

If he's driving like a dick again, and the cops are watching him like a hawk, I have no problem with it. He's already proven himself to be an extreme danger on the road a bunch of times.

I dont agree he overdid it because he was black. Honestly that gets played up way too much these days. Racism is practically dead in America. Its nothing like what some pundits would have you believe. White people get fucked with by the cops just as much as blacks. Its not a racism thing, its an abuse of power thing. We have a serious lack of respect for human life and the law in our entire government from the top to the bottom. The homeless man in the video was white, didnt stop him from getting shot in the back. Check out the police state videos on youtube, you will see tons of white people getting dragged out of cars, smacked around and gunned down for no good reason. That isnt to say racism plays no role ever but I dont get that sense at all in this situation.
