Nate might not be in a fight camp, but he is a triathlon athlete, Those who are known for their endurance. He has a solid chin with being taller & having a greater reach than McGregor. So whether or not he was in the camp won't make any difference at least in Cardio department as these Triathlon Athlete are living breathing cardio machine.
None of the Conor's past opponents including Cage Warrior was 6 feet or above tall. He haven't dealt with any tall fighter apart from Duffy, Who himself was 5'11'' & We all know how that match went.
Nate has a great BJJ game which is almost absent from McGregor's repertoire. So if the fight hits ground, Conor is down. But this will be highly unlikely as Nate doesn't have great takedowns.
Then Conor's counter striking style won't be effective as Nate also is a counter striker, SO Nate won't bum rush into this game. Also both are southpaw so one of the advantage he posses against Orthodox fighter goes out of the window.
Conor's kicking game isn't that of a much great so he can keep Nate in check. I mean he has great kicks with is TKD or Karate based kicks, but what he needs is some muay thai or Dutch kickboxing style leg kicks to be effective against Nate
Nate has some smooth Hand combination which he throws in volume while utilising his reach, Which Conor will face problem to deal with as they will come from above. I am just unaware if he has faced any challenge like this in his professional career.
Then he can't one shot KO Nate as he has some awesome shock absorbing ability. This match is bound to go to the later rounds & just then The cardio of Conor McGregor will come to factor, Which we haven't witnessed yet.
Yesterday, I made a idiotic prediction like Conor will KO Nate in the First round. But the more time passes the more I see how foolish I was to make such prediction. I am not saying Conor can't win this, But it will be a hard job stylistically.
