This is crushing. Again McGregor is forced to change opponent with days remaining.

McGregor fans lol...
If anything this is beneficial for him. Don't even start with your typical Conor nuthugging crap where a fighter not having a training camp has the advantage over a guy who had a training camp, but for a different opponent.

So it's to his advantage to fight someone he is completely unprepared for? Someone like Mendes, who had the exact style to give him problems?

Your hate has blinded you.

Aldo has had three chances to fight McGregor. He didn't show up for two of them and when he did show he only lasted 13 seconds. Aldo's extended prep time didn't matter. He ain't Batman.

Conor uses proper training so his body never breaks. This is his reward.

It is to his advantage to fight someone who is far from his peak condition. He even got a belt out of that. The only issue for him is that people, quickly labelled 'haters' will question his ability to beat the same fighter if he was in peak conditions, which may bother the nuthuggers who can't see someone else not licking the balls they like so much, but for Conor it means absolutely nothing.

I don't hate him at all. I like watching his fights, much more so than Aldo's, for example.

Mendes said he was in peak condition. You insist he wasn't because you're a wanker who wants to discredit the king.

Mendes, when he was supposedly "out of shape" lasted two rounds with McGregor. Aldo, with a year to prep, at 28 years old in his absolute prime, lasted 13 seconds.

Conor has four finishes in a row against top 5 opponents, four performance of the night bonuses in a row and fought his most dangerous stylistic matchup with no time to prepare for him and finished him inside two rounds.

Keep the horseshit between your ears buddy

Exactly why you people don't need to keep on nut hugging him. McGregor doesn't need you to lick his boots anymore, he's already the champion, he has beaten a 10 year unbeaten fighter in 13 seconds. That, no one is ever going to take from him, even if he fails to get a single title defense.

And it doesn't matter what Mendes said. He had to prepare for the fight on short notice and you people are trying to spin it as if it was more of a disadvantage for McGregor, not only now, but for a while in these message boards.

You Conor fans are new to MMA. Go watch other fighters who had a short training camp, like Weidman when he fought Maia, Matt Hughes when he faced Thiago Alves , Dan Miller v Nate Marquadt. It's known thing, not up for debate at all, that fighters that accept fights on short notice take big risks and even when they win, they don't show up the same way they normally would. For you to contest that is ridiculous.

That you kids are trying to spin it the other way around because you are a bunch of ignorant fools who for some reason need to believe your 'king' is the best fighter ever.

Per Ariel this is the 4th time in 8 fights. It's pretty ridiculous. I remember Cole, Aldo, and now RDA. Can't recall the 4th.

Love or hate Conor, you have to respect the man who has, by far, the most to lose of any fighter by suffering a single loss. He continues to honor the fight obligation despite the risks.

It is a disappointment to be sure. He has to wait another 4 months now to even attempt to win the 2nd belt.

I think the only blessing here is McGregor's philosophy on preparing for a faceless body. The body on the block was an all-round fighter, so Conor will be prepared for anything.

@SpeedofSPort @speedofsport2.0 Where you at homie?

What happened to Rafael's super strong foot?

This is why he trains his feet man! Most important muscle in the body!

Mendes fans bring up that excuse dude, Mac finished that fight in less than two.

Conor is in shape and almost on weight. He will most likely be fighting a guy who has less notice than he does, and definitely less time to get on weight and train for his style. This should be all the more reason to give him Khabib or Ferguson, but they won't do that because those guys will kill Conor. That's why you hear about Diaz or Cerrone. Cerrone will already be 170-180 and have a ton of beer to sweat out. Diaz wasn't training for a fight.

Conor isn't the one at a disadvantage here.

Yeah, because he is going to tell everyone he is out of shape before the fight, right?

Not being in shape was his own fault, anyone fighting Conor at 196 will say the same thing if the same result occurs. Give the man some credit, this time at least.
