This is all over a press conference?

UFC has to show zero tolerance on stuff like this, otherwise other fighters would follow suit. helping to promote is part of your job as a fighter. do your job or you lose your job.

Conor probably started making unreasonable demands and UFC just said, nah fuck you
 
They are not gonna come out and say, "We didn't want to pay him more money" because it would cause Conor fans to turn against them.
 
This is about The UFC putting Conor in his place. The Presser seems to just be the reason they chose to use.

No it's renegotiating after a contract is signed. Guaranteed. Thats more of a precedent the ufc would not want to see repeated.
 
I wouldn't doubt it all actually started with Conor demanding more money. Conor doesn't have his demands met by the UFC. So then Conor doesn't show up for media events, so the UFC pulls him from UFC 200...Conor then claims he's retired.
 
I believe it. McGregor didnt want to have to answer all of the questions about him being a loser.
