The heavyweight tourney really needed a homegrown Bellator HW prospect, someone who had never been to the UFC or Pride, maybe 2 of them

Then mix them in with the over the hill bigger names

Javy Ayala is one of the alternates, I doubt he’ll beat Kongo but if he does there is a good chance he’ll make it into the tournament since it’s filled with older guys who are prone to injury.
