Nowhere in what you quoted does it say they could have predicted the severity with more resources. It actually suggests the opposite.

Hey man I've enjoyed talking to you and dreaded opening this thread. I'm glad you realized the timing and are trying to better word this. I have family in Texas and I once got caught in a flash flood myself while out to dinner. My cousin is a civil engineer and his big task is rain water medication. Texas is terribly flat. I'll admit that I don't know a lot about what happened, or who is at fault. If people are at fault, I want to see them exposed and punished if liable to the law, just like you. You are 100% right that the loss of innocent children is horrible. I saw some time lapse video and it was a powerful flood.People dropped the ball on this. I'm sorry that I blamed any side on this being partisan. This was avoidable, however. People dropped the ball.
The NOAA cuts don't begin until fiscal year 2026Wired said this:
But meteorologists who spoke to WIRED say that the NWS accurately predicted the risk of flooding in Texas and could not have foreseen the extreme severity of the storm. What’s more, they say that what the NWS did forecast this week underscores the need to sustain funding to the crucial agency.
But they also said this:
The cuts made to NOAA as part of President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) efforts have made headlines this year, and with good reason: The NWS has lost more than 500 staffers since the beginning of the year, leaving some offices unstaffed overnight. It’s also cut key programs and even satellites that help keep track of extreme weather. Meteorologists have repeatedly said that these cuts will make predicting extreme weather even harder—and could be deadly as climate change supercharges storms and increases rainfall. But both Vagasky and Lanza say that this week’s forecasts were solid.
Is there any part of you that acknowledges this disaster might indicate a weakness in the system and that it could be fixed?
They predicted the event but didn't have the resources to determine the severity.
I can only imagine what you'd say if Democrats had reduced a service by this degree and it was immediately followed by a catastrophe.
This is gross and people that knew how to stop it were fired. Kids. This is cutting funds. This is not giving people a heads up. R.I.P.
Are you legit tarded? My state gets flood warnings. On my phone. People died here, and it is a travesty and it should be on this administrations' feet.
Children died and the emergency notices did not happen.
Have fun hand waving kids dying.
Cloud seeding doesn’t create moisture out of thin air. It’s used to help create a little precipitation, we’re talking around 20% increase from what they normally would get, not 4 trillion gallons like we saw in Texas. They were doing cloud seeding 2 days prior
I didn’t say anything other than a factCloud seeding doesn’t create moisture out of thin air. It’s used to help create a little precipitation, we’re talking around 20% increase from what they normally would get, not 4 trillion gallons like we saw in Texas.
So who are you blaming?Children died and the emergency notices did not happen.
Have fun hand waving kids dying.
All good. Pretty rare to see a dose of humility on here. Cheers to you, brother.Sincerely apologize. My heart hurt when I heard about this story and lashed out. It was a disgusting display to try to blame people on this one. I ask for your forgiveness.

I am better than this. I don't want a pat on the back. I just want you all to know that I am not the kind of person that would ride the coattails of a tragedy if my mind was right.
What do you think about Princess Papaya Pussygrabber witholding FEMA like he did with Alabama?Again more stupid shit from you and dancing on kids graves.
"Yes, Texas authorities did issue flash flood warnings and watches before the severe flooding, but the intensity and speed of the rainfall exceeded initial forecasts. While some warnings were issued, including a flash flood emergency alert, the scale and suddenness of the flooding, particularly in the overnight hours, caught many off guard. "
Neither did I. Felt it worth pointing out your fact is like farting next to a waterfallI didn’t say anything other than a fact
*A fact that has no meaning or relevanceI didn’t say anything other than a fact
Oh yeah for sure*A fact that has no meaning or relevance
