Fuck it. I'll be looked at in spite and anger by bubba and his foe bah foe, but the gas mileage and reliability is worth it.

Almost any car made by Toyota seems legit, but I've seen Prius' with 300,000+ miles on the odometer and still on original transmission (which is impressive imo).

Anyone own one or know someone who does? Little ass tires too which means I can afford good snow tires.

Look at the Consumer Reports review of a car before you buy it or you're retarded. Fuck everyone else, they can go broke on gas and repair bills while they fly their confederate flags.

I have their car issue somewhere but I'm too tipsy to go get it. I believe Prius was rated very highly though.

Edit: I could be convinced to look it up for you if you can't find it via google since CR is a subscription based magazine, but it will take some doing, and since porn isn't allowed I don't know what will do it.

Edit 2: If they scored really highly the might advertise their CR score on their website.

I think Prius got good ratings all around including crash tests, but since I don't even live in a city where cars are required I mostly skipped that issue. Actually I may have that one stashed in my desk. One moment please.

Man-card issues aside, I hear that people like to dump their Priuses when their batteries are about to require replacement, which is an expensive service. Do some research on how long the batteries are good for, and make sure you get one that still has plenty of life in them.

I did actually find the issue, it scored the top pick for green car, safety was highly rated.

Prius drivers are absolutely the worst drivers out there. They drive slow on the fwy to save some gas. Bunch of losers causing traffic.

When my mom got a new car, me and my wife braught her Prius off her for like 3k because we wanted a city car rather than driving the truck around all the time and my wife needed a car.

It's actually been a pretty good car, great on the gas, super reliable and drives pretty good. My co workers make fun of it but like other people have said....haters gonna hate but the gas bill dosent lie.

If 'fuel' economy, reliability and safety rank highly for you just get a Tesla. Heaps nicer and you can have fun in a Tesla you can't in a Prius.

I thought about it too but discovered that the gas savings is built into the price. And so was the douchebag tax. You know where they charge you extra because they know Douchebags will pay extra to have a car that saves the environment.

Those two factors made it not a good deal for me. If i had a long commute then maybe it would've been worth it.

You can get into a new Prius for $20k. How much is a Tesla? $65k?

Buying a Prius is a lot like making out with your sister. Sure it seems like a good idea at the time, but you'll probably end up regretting it later.

I work with a lady that owns one. She loves it. However, her current car is the second Prius I've seen her in. I'm not sure if she traded the other In for a newer model or if there was some sort of problem with it.

If I remember, I'll ask her about it when I see her next.

The new ones look less Priusy and more like regular cars. There are some gas cars out there getting great gas milage.

Does the car you have now run and is reliable, even if it is a gas hog? I don't remember the exact number off the top of my head, but if you are buying a new car to replace a gas guzzler, it takes something like 12 to 15 years to make up the difference in savings. In other words, you'll be losing money for a long time.
