Thiago Tavares injured, Tom Niinimaki awaits new opponent for UFC Berlin

I was super impressed by how he handled an ADCC gold and silver medalist on the ground. I believe at one point Rani went for a leg lock and he just stood up and gave zero fucks.

Yeah, lol. He's trained with the 3x European ADCC champ Timo-Juhani "Tipi" Hirvikangas for almost 7 years, and the guy also happens to be a leg lock specialist. I felt uneasy and anxious during every time Tom attempted to pass Yahya's guard and begged that he would just play it safe. Funnily enough, I wasn't anxious about the leg lock attempts at all, nor the guillotines. Nothing Yahya did was something Tom hadn't seen before.


"Tipi" and Tom after Timo-Juhani travelled to Florida to train with Tom and the Blackzilians. Very recent photo, taken about 5 days or so ago.

I think they're going to give Tom for someone's debut for sure, but I wouldn't exactly be thrilled to see him fight Max Coga a good 6 months after Rani Yahya.

Then again, you have to be a little crazy to make it to the top. Niklas seems obsessed more so than actual crazy; worked out well for GSP.

I actually think it would be a interesting match up but honestly I'd rather not have them fight each other unless it's a marquee fight on a finnish or swedish card (then it makes all the sense in the world). This is not hockey and our nordic and to some extent euro guys are better off working together if we are to catch up with the brazilians and americans. In a perfect world Niinim
