What the fuck?

I'm not even watching the trailer for this shit

Wtf I'll kill all of them how dare they

I recently saw the original for the first time.

Good and depressing.

I like dark movies that are unsettling and gritty like that.

My wife ranted about this shit for about a week.

I had zero to do last night and watched it, biggest mistake they made was trying to tie it in any way with Jacob's Ladder, it would be an average to below average thriller as a standalone and the lead not being named Jacob.

Michael Ealy gives it his all but this was DOA due to the instant backlash of them trying to update it. They really couldve tweaked some things and made this a tragic story but failed.

Yeah it's not one to enjoy as such but it's a great movie

Did you spot the man in the mirror?

Makes you wonder whether it is beneficial or detrimental to put a classic movies name to this

Could they have got more views and respect by making it a stand alone thriller, or did the name alone guarentee them a certain amount of views?

Hmmm, don't think I caught it...
It's quite freaky until you know the story behind it

I think it's after the ice bath, they take him into the bedroom and as they do there is the reflection of someone in the mirror only visable for a second.
It's the kind of thing that makes a movie great if it were deliberate, but it was a crew member that got in the way and caught on camera.
Director decided to leave it in, but it's still effective because most people don't even spot it first time, which makes it even more creepy

The 1990 version was really good. This current version seems pretty good. Have not seen it yet.
Military experiments on soldiers - 'Soldiers', 1998, with Kurt Russell was excellent.

Its as unnecessary as the Flatliners remake

Well, it's got a pretty impressive 2.9/10 on IMDB, so at least it's go that going for it...

Even more impressive is that it managed to score that low without internet trolls trying to sway and create multiple accounts to downvote it with imdb getting rid of the forums 2 years ago

I didn't dare watch it, how bad was it?
Quite the difference and I dont think the remake director really understood the first film. In the original the medical students go into the afterlife experience and experienced their past where they bullied someone and they kept having these visions where the tide is turned and their victims are the ones bullying them. In the end they confront their victims to make ammends and make apologizes to.

The new version messes things by changing events around and instead of them being bullies, they made them to be catalysts that were responsible for some other peoples death like an aborted unborn baby or a car crash victim because of texting. Its pretty much a supernatural thriller rather than a psychological one
