I get it and agree a lot of times the so so cards end up GREAT like 199 and 206. But damn 208 is barely decent enough to be a fight night or a fight pass. I mean if at least Holm was fighting Cyborg maybe it salvages something but wow. This doesn't do 200K buy maybe even sub 100K buys - just doesn't make business sense to make a card this shitty ..... I know 207 is (or was) a monster card but this is fight night and a pretty average one at that. Has Dana been questioned at all about this card and why its so weak for a PPV?

I like my porn headlined by women and disagree with you. Nothing terrible about some good porn!

Holly Holm fights are a bit of a mixed bag but i think this one might be decent, Cannonier V Texeira, Lewis V Browne should be good hard hittingfightsand Miller V Poirer is worth watching. Not the greatest PPV but i'll book it.

Its really only missing one fight. It just happens that that one fight is the Main Event.

I'm pretty sure that they will not make Holm de Randamie as the main event.

I don't think they have ever PLANNED a main event that bad. I believe Aldo/Holloway is the planned main event.

Aldo might pull out a week before and Holm de Randamie ends up being the main event, but I would bet that it will not be announced as such.

Once upon the time, the UFC would have the odd free numbered event.

It makes no business sense to headline the card with GDR/Holm, not to mention the UFC website has not yet labeled the show 208: Holm vs GDR, while events beyond that already have a confirmed main event and full title. I truly believe they are finalizing something else such as Woodley/Thompson II or Bisping/Romero to main event, which would allow Holm/GDR to co-headline, making the card a lot stronger. They will likely announce something if this is true anywhere from tomorrow to the actual PPV on Friday.

Holly vs what's her name as a main event is ridiculous.

Exactly. Not one casual fan has an idea who she is.

Too lazy to look her up. Even Holm had her minute of fame, but she isn't much of a draw.

It's not great. They obviously had fights in mind that didn't pan out. They've already cancelled the Jan PPV so cancelling a second one in a row probably isn't an option. Wouldn't expect great numbers for this one.

It will be funny if it backfires and they end up with a GDR vs Nunes rematch instead of the Holly/RR rematch they are hoping for.
